General Uses: Make into a strong infusion, 2 tsps boiled 15 minutes at least, and mix with honey to remove phlegm, as well as alleviate fever and respiratory infections; use Hyssop infusion to remove lice and alleviate itching; boil with wine and dilute in warm water before applying to areas of inflammation and bruising to take away black and blue marks of the skin. May also bruise fresh leaves and place them in warm linen before applying to discolored areas; boil with rue and honey then drink for breathing problems such as cough, shortness of breath, wheezing, and rheumatic distillations; infuse fresh bruised herb in honey and take a spoonful to kill worms in the belly
To support a fever, brew a strong infusion of Hyssop, Ginger, and Echinacea. Allow to cool enough to touch before adding Manuka Honey.
